7. Splenic rupture

Splenomegaly, a serious health condition, is more likely to occur in adults. It is caused by significant blood loss and splenic rupture, and is usually accompanied by abdominal stiffness and signs of bleeding.
Splenomegaly can vary in its causes, and each one has its own mechanism. For instance, an increase in antibodies and antigens due to acute infections will cause the spleen to expand, as more cells are produced to increase the immune system. Congestive splenomegaly, on the other hand, is caused by an overload of blood that remains in the spleen due to liver or heart congestion.
