Trigger Finger – Causes, Symptoms & Treatment

2. Splinting

Splinting is a form of treatment commonly used in cases of mild joint inflammation. This technique involves immobilizing the affected joint in a specific position, usually in an extended position, for a period of time in an effort to reduce inflammation.

This is often used as a first line of treatment for mild cases of inflammation. But is rarely enough to provide a long-term solution. In most cases, splinting is combined with physiotherapy to help restore joint movement and further reduce inflammation.
